Mark Johnson is Client Pharma’s Technical Director, Strategic Partnerships. With years of specialist experience, Mark and his team serve our global network of clients and supply partners. We took a moment from his busy schedule to get an insight into his role with Client-Pharma.
What is your main day-to-day role?
Every day brings fresh challenges and variety, this is one of the reasons I enjoy my job so much. My day-to-day role is quite varied, but one major focus is that I work closely with our key clients and partners to provide product sourcing and advanced supply solutions on every aspect of their projects. This forward-thinking approach allows Client-Pharma to provide a creative and innovative service for all of the clinical studies that we support.
What makes Client-Pharma different?
As a company, we are always striving to add value and are not afraid to try something different to exceed client’s expectations. The team is accessible and we offer flexibility paired with the knowledge and market intelligence of a global company. Our clients get excellent visibility over their projects as well as a personalised approach for each study we work on; there’s also a great level of accountability across the whole team.
We build meaningful, long term relationships by acting as an extension of our client’s team, as a partner, rather than just the traditional supplier/vendor relationship.
Client-Pharma is agile and responsive and has a dynamic approach with a global reach in terms of our capabilities and experience, all under one roof.
What type of solutions does Client-Pharma provide?
The pharmaceutical supply chain is often fragmented and complex, Client-Pharma provides depth of knowledge and experience to find solutions, no matter how big or small the project may be. No two clinical trial projects are the same and the breadth of expertise we have enables us to anticipate many potential challenges and provide pro-active supply solutions.
Much of the pharmaceutical sector is not set up primarily to supply into clinical trials. However, we have great long-standing relationships through our audited supplier network and manufacturer partners. This gives us access to many different products, most of which are usually hard to acquire.
How does your team work together help to achieve the objectives of Client-Pharma?
Our team is able to efficiently navigate through much of the noise and complexity of the clinical trial supply chain. We manage the product, information and documentation to help everything flow. When you see a project go smoothly and you have played a critical part in doing so, it is very rewarding.
There is a strong sense of shared purpose and a great balance of personalities with people from different cultures, backgrounds and countries – we complement each other’s strengths and help each other to grow and succeed. Client-Pharma’s team genuinely really care about every project that we get involved in working together in the best interests of the client.
We have a solid work ethic and every team member plays a vital role in helping the company achieve its long-term business goals.
Anything else you would like to add, especially during these challenging times.
I am immensely proud of how everyone has responded to so many global changes over the last twelve months. We been able to continue to serve our clients uninterrupted, thanks to the work ethic and professionalism of every single member of the Client-Pharma family. I look at our achievements and at the way that everyone has worked together, delivering seamless support throughout 2020. I’m very glad to be a part of it!
2021 is going to be a seminal year for Client-Pharma and there’s a lot of consolation knowing that no matter challenges what we might face, we will overcome them together.
